Why we love her: When we first met Adriana, we knew it was a bond that was meant to be. Adriana’s passion for creating gender equality and providing resources to help others live a fulfilled life is a story worth talking about. Her passion led her to found Impacto, a non-profit organization focused on increasing incomes for Mayan artisan women living in the communities of Los Altos de Chiapas. She has developed a way to work in economic sectors that are relevant to the local economy, as well as in priority areas like education and gender equality, in order to improve the quality of life of the people living in these communities.

The Impacto Textil program has made a huge impact (reiteration intended) by creating the links between Mayan artisans who produce beautiful goods and conscientious consumers to generate a sustainable development (ViernesTradicional)Her vision to be a globally recognized Latin American role model is on the cusp as she continues to combat social and economic inequality.
