Who or what is inspiring your floral designs or mood this season?
I’m always inspired by seasonal flowers, but winter tends to challenge me creatively compared to the abundance of spring or fall. This time of year, I’m most inspired by the gatherings themselves. The people at the table, the texture of the grazing boards, and the color of the wine. I’m also leaning into classic holiday elements; I see a lot of pine in our future these next few months.

How are you elevating your holiday looks this time of year?
Layering! You can always make an outfit look even more interesting by adding extra layers and textures, especially during cooler months. Oh, and jewelry! I love to add a touch of sparkle in my pieces. like, “I can run a meeting and a carpool.”

What’s one creative ritual you return to this time of year — drawing, journaling, styling, or otherwise?
During this time of year, I’m inspired by revisiting Christmas illustrations as the holidays have endless classic iconography. Each year I enjoy creating a new idea for greeting cards and gift wrap because you can be so clever by playing off of timeless traditions, such as the Nutcracker, the 12 Days of Christmas, holiday tea times, and of course NYC’s spectacularly iconic lights and sights.

What’s one nostalgic recipe or baked treat that always makes it feel like the holidays?
I have to say saffron buns! They're a very traditional Swedish baked good, usually shaped like S's and studded with raisins. During the winter months, my Grandma almost always has them stocked in her freezer for when family visits her.
